I talked to the Social Worker for Greenville and she told me that I can legally apply for just myself. It was looking grim for me cause to apply I would have to make less than 1200 a month gross and I know that my checks are 600+ before taxes and benifits and stuff like that took ahold oh nearly 200 of it that I was screwed cause I get paid twice a month.
We were talking and I told her that I was pregnant... She said that that would cause the minimum amount to be 1500 instead of 1200... so I am silently cheering right now... though it does state on the forms, who lives with you.... so when I go in tomorrow I am going to ask for her and ask her what I need to write and what not to write on there to apply only for myself... cause you can't lie on goverment papers but I can't see how they're not going to figure hmmm another form of income... *sigh* so I think that I am going to take the forms I have as reference and start anew.

And I guess this is one more for Kysa's eyes than anything since she has the best chance for this one... I am on Career Builders website and the Zaxby's in Easley is listed for a manager position. All I know is that it's been posted for less than 4 days so I can't gurantee that someone hasn't already put in for it and already got the position but it's still up there so it just makes me wonder.

The only reason I am trying to look for jobs is for ~iambeard so that hopefully we can work on getting him a new job and I am aiming for sometime before the baby is born. But because of the economy I am afraid that that may be asking for a bit much right now... so I told him that if I get approved for Medicaid/Food stamps/WIC, and if we could get the maint. here for the apartment complex to fix any cracks that is letting the air out, that maybe we could raise the baby here temporarily until he did, which I hope won't be too long after the baby is born if this happen.

Later that Day:
Well I just got back, I went and waited for a good 2 and a half hours sitting next to a hispanic woman who shouldn't have had kids if she didn't know how to control them... basically she was letting them scream and hit me with their shoes and I told her that if she should control them cause I was about to give them a good dose of discipline myself.
Anyway I had my interview and come to find out the base pay for the household won't go up until AFTER the baby is born and it goes up to 1900+... and of course Beard has to be counted cause the child is his.
But I just have to come in and turn a few things in by the 24th, then I gotta wait to see if I get it or not, more than likely I won't until December obviously.
Then I am going for Medicaid, I tried to do it there after I got done with the Food Stamps part but they said that I could only be on the waiting list for one so I have to wait until I find out if I qualify for food stamps or not first then I can go back and do all that...

While I was there there was someone that I knew from High School there and I asked him how he was doing and he said that he graduated, is renting a place (looking for a home) and is making 1200+ every two weeks at his job, he's kinda like a manager kinda thing he said that he concentrated on safety more than anything. I asked if they were looking for workers.
This place is a contractor paint place and that you could start at like 13+ an hour and he said that he could give training... Most of their jobs is centered in Greenville and they travel the US doing jobs for sometimes months at a time, but they're pay would go up 2 more an hour if it's out of state.
The company would provide transportation, I would assume that that means they would actually buy him a car cause he said that that's what they did for him, and that the hours were long and that they were open 7 days a week so Beard won't be guaranteed every Sunday off...

I don't know how I feel about him being away for months at a time but we have to do something about our finances.
He said that right now the business can't make up their minds on what to do right now so they don't have anyone working for a month and I guess that they expect some people to quit during this cause he said that he would definately need workers after that time so I hope to convince Beard to try... if not for himself or for me then for the baby.
